Switch AI assistants without starting over: have Grok Bot pack your whole setup into one zip

The author uses one prompt to have his current AI assistant pack his preferences, memory, skills, routines and instructions into a zip with a README on top. Hand it to a new assistant and it rebuilds the same setup. Passwords and API keys stay out.

The problem

There are more and more personal AI assistants. Each time you switch, you have to teach it who you are again and rebuild every skill and routine.

What to prepare

  • A zip file

How to do it

  1. 1

Have your current bot pack everything

Paste this into the bot you use now.

    Prompt

Replace the 1 ✎ dashed part with your own details, then copy.

Package my whole setup into one .zip file so a different AI agent can rebuild it exactly. Include: who I am, my preferences and how I like you to talk; everything you remember about me and my work; every skill, workflow, routine and scheduled task, with exact steps; my custom instructions, word for word; every tool and integration you use and how it's set up (never passwords or API keys); the files and templates my workflows depend on. Put a README at the top that tells the new agent how to rebuild everything, step by step. If you're unsure about anything, ask me before you zip it. Anything to leave out, e.g. one client's data (sample, replace with yours)
  2. 2

Open the zip and check it once

Make sure there are no passwords, API keys or data you don't want to carry over. If there are, delete them and have the bot pack it again.

  3. 3

Give it to the new bot and rebuild from the README

Upload the zip and ask the new bot to read the README, list what it will rebuild for you to confirm, then build it one item at a time. You sign in to connected accounts again yourself.
