Build a GPT that only writes up your interviews
Every week you turn interview notes into a findings summary for a client. Put the rules in a custom GPT, test it on notes it hasn't seen, and if it makes things up, fix the instructions and test again.
Start step 1 ↓The problem
Every week you ask AI to turn interview notes into a summary for the client. Every time you paste the same rules: don't invent percentages, and don't turn one person's words into "users generally feel."

What to prepare
- Two sets of notes with names removed
How to do it
- 1
Write the rules on one page before opening the builder
Write the output format and the don'ts in a notepad. You'll paste the whole thing into the GPT's Instructions.
- 2
Turn on only the capabilities you need
You can name it "Interview findings editor." Write the description for coworkers: paste interview notes, it drafts a summary, and a person reviews it before it goes out.
Prompt - 3
Test it on notes it hasn't seen
Open a new chat and make sure you're using the GPT you just built, not regular ChatGPT. Paste the test notes.
Prompt - 4
If it makes things up, fix the instructions and rerun the same test
If it writes "60% of users found the password hard," go back to the instructions and add: "If a percentage appears, rewrite the whole thing and note at the top that you removed unsupported numbers." Save, open a new chat and paste the same test.
- 5
When sharing, say it only writes drafts
Share it only with people who handle these notes. Keep this line in the description: the output is a draft and a person reviews it before it goes out.
